The charred body in Thessaloniki belongs to a man – what did the autopsy show

The officers of the Fire Service, which was called at 21.30 on Friday night (16/9) for a fire in a tree, waste and low vegetation on Megalo Alexandrou Avenue, were faced with a horrific sight. After the fire was extinguished, they saw a charred body.

Both EL.AS forces and an EKAV ambulance rushed to the scene, while police officers cordoned off the area with protective tape and examined the evidence in order to find the cause of the man’s death.

According to information from GRTimes, from the conclusion of the autopsy performed by the Medical Examiner, it appears that the body belongs to a man over 55 years of age, while no traces of criminal activity were found.

The causes of death remain unknown so far, while the unanswered questions about the circumstances under which the man died leave all possibilities open for examination by the Police Authorities.

Finally, it is worth noting that the body found charred has not yet been identified and remains unidentified, creating further questions.
