The best French toast made with brioche bread

What you will need:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cornflour, dissolved in one tablespoon of water
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4-6 slices of brioche bread
  • 1 tablespoon butter, or more
  • Maple syrup
  • powdered sugar
  • fresh fruits

How to make it:

  1. In a bowl, beat the eggs, milk, sugar, corn flour, vanilla extract and cinnamon.
  2. Place the bread in a shallow pan and pour over the mixture. Let the bread soak for about 1 minute per side until the mixture is absorbed.
  3. At the same time, heat a fairly large pan on a medium temperature and melt the butter. Fry the buns for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Day-old or stale bread: Bread should be stale for best results. Storage: You can keep it for 2-3 days in an airtight container.
