FBI officials trained EL.AS negotiators.

A total of 19 Greek Police negotiators from all over the country participated in the training, while the teaching staff consisted of 4 members of the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) of the FBI

On Friday, September 30, 2022, the training of Negotiators of the Hellenic Police by FBI officials, in matters of negotiations and crisis management, was successfully completed.

The training was implemented during the period from September 26 to 30, 2022, by the Unified Coordination Center for Operations and Crisis Management (ESKECDIK) of the Hellenic Police Headquarters, in collaboration with the American Embassy and the School of Continuing Education & Training of the Greek Police, in the premises of the aforementioned School.

To achieve the educational goal, an educational program was drawn up, which included a theoretical and practical part and focused mainly on issues:

  • management of kidnappings of a transnational and non-national character and
  • critical incident assessment tool analysis that needs negotiation.

A total of 19 Greek Police negotiators from all over the country participated in the training, while the teaching staff consisted of 4 members of the FBI’s Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT).
