Disturbance was caused at the kindergarten in Vasiloudi, Lagada municipality, as snakes were found for the second time in the school’s premises, as a result of which it suspended its operation.
Specifically, at the opening of the school year, three rattlesnakes were found inside the building, two of which were dead. Then the necessary actions were taken to avoid an issue, while they were removed with the assistance of the Fire Department. In fact, a special decontamination crew was called to the site.
But, at the end of last week, other snakes were found in the same place. The kindergarten has suspended its operation, while there are even thoughts of moving it to another building.

Speaking to Voria.gr, the chairman of the Primary Education School Committee and deputy mayor of Lagada, Alexandros Patsialas, said that the municipality took all the necessary measures.
“We removed the furniture and objects of the kindergarten in order to clean the space, while there is the thought of moving the unit to another building”, he emphasized, while adding that unfortunately the village is located in a lakeside area and the existence of the fauna. “However, the municipality will not leave the children to their fate”, he said.
