An open sea ship of the port corps, a Special Missions Echelon of the Coast Guard and a team of the Underwater Missions Unit are moving there.
At Lesvos, at least 15 people died in the marine area of Provoskida, in the east of the island, after the sinking of a boat in which, according to the first information, about 40 migrants were on board.
So far, nine people have been rescued, while three are trapped in a rocky, steep area.
The investigations of the port authorities extend to the wider land area, as it is believed that some migrants are on land.
