With serious charges for the murder of her daughter Georgina Roula Pispirigou, who has also been prosecuted for the murders of the two youngest children, is referred to trial and is in custody.
With the will of the Criminal Courts Council (judges of the Council Georgios Kasimis President, Charalambos Georgakopoulos and Theodora Traianidou, members) refer the Rula Pispirigou to be tried before the Joint Jury, accused of the murder of her daughter, Georgina, but also of attempted murder of her.
Taking advantage of the detailed proposal of the prosecutor Giorgos Noulis, they judge that the accused committed the criminal acts attributed to her with malice and in a calm state of mind.
Also, based on the testimony of doctors and experts, the judges conclude that in April 2021, Pispirigou tried to kill her child, not by suffocation, but by administering ketamine, but was unable to do so due to the immediate intervention of the doctors . At that time, the 9-year-old Georgina was being treated at the Karamandane Hospital in Patras.
The attempt at her expense by her own mother resulted in her becoming a paraplegic and with mental and perception problems.
Roula Pispirigou during the judicial crisis, while she failed to exterminate her daughter in 2021, succeeded the next time she tried, in January 2022, when the child was hospitalized at the “CHILDREN” hospital.
In their reasoning, the judges, using the scientific data (forensic findings and blood analyses), insist on the conclusion that the child was killed by administering ketamine.
They state, among other things, that the blocking of the nose and mouth is not an appropriate way to cause an obstruction, noting that the accused administered an unspecifically identified substance, depressant of the central nervous system, with a probability approaching certainty
Regarding the circumstances of the child’s death, the judges fully adopt what the prosecutor G. Noulis mentions in his proposal, regarding the administration of the lethal substance on January 29 to the 9-year-old in the hospital where he was being treated, at a time when only his mother was in the room.
As for the motive, they say that this is focused on Pispirigou’s obsession with her ex-husband Manos Daskalakis as all the incidents against her children happened when she was separated from her husband or when he threatened her to leave the house. while they also attribute her actions to her personality, also relying on the description of the special expert appointed during the interrogation, to describe, as she did, the defendant’s psychological makeup and general constitution.
Indicative of Pispirigou’s character is the passage that echoes the expertise ordered by the inquest.
“The motivation of the accused in terms of the emanation of the aforementioned continuing criminal behavior is controlled by the unfavorable and pathogenic characteristics of her personality and temperament, which crystallize, mainly, in ideas of greatness associated with publicity / celebrity, but which have no basis in reality , in embracing the notion that one can gain publicity / celebrity through criminal acts, in the constant negotiation between truth and lies, real and unreal, in deprivation of any genuine emotion, in a concentration (in a prominent role) of thoughts and investments around the already estranged from her husband and supporting the accusation, with a poignant expression of possessiveness about him, in her possession by the idea/fear of abandonment, in placing great importance on being the center of attention through the celebrity that publicity affords, in perception of children of her as a narcissistic extension of herself and in an approach to the idealization of death, demonstrates, in the judgment of this Council, brazenness, intense anti-sociality, indifference to human life, humble springs and particular dangerousness of the accused…”.
Finally, the judges decide that the temporary detention of Pispirigou should be continued for another 6 months as the accused is suspected of committing new, similar criminal acts even against her own people.
Of course, Roula Pispirigou is also being prosecuted for the murders of her other two, younger children, Malena and Iris, and the relevant legal proceedings are ongoing.
