Today, the 23-year-old accused of raping a 21-year-old woman from Sweden in the early hours of last Saturday in Chania apologizes to the Chania investigator.

On Wednesday morning, criminal proceedings were brought against the 19-year-old, who was however released.

The 21-year-old, who has been living and working in Chania for the past few months, was found early Saturday morning half-naked in a deserted location in Gerani, where the two perpetrators allegedly abandoned her. According to her complaint, the 23-year-old together with the 19-year-old took her there and after raping her, photographed her and left her alone and helpless. From the spot, she was picked up in a bad state by a friend of hers, whom she contacted by phone on the fateful dawn.

It is recalled that the young lady was having fun in the company of young Chanians in a well-known club in the city and when she decided to leave and return to the room where she lives in the area of ​​Platanias, the alleged perpetrators were willing to accompany her.
