The prosecutor brought a misdemeanor criminal prosecution against the 45-year-old Bangladeshi citizen who attacked and injured two policemen with a sharp object, in Thessaloniki.

Accused of violence against employees, serial dangerous bodily harm, profanity, destruction of things that serve for common benefit and illegal carrying of weapons. He was referred to be tried at the Autoforous Three-member Misdemeanor Court.

According to the indictment, the 45-year-old foreigner attacked the two policemen while being brought to the department, in an ELAS van-type vehicle.

With the use of a sharp object, a plexiglass partition was broken, injuring the driver and passenger in the neck.

The two policemen of the Department of Foreigners of Thessaloniki were called to bring the person in question from Monastirio Street, yesterday afternoon.

As it became known, the 45-year-old, originally from Bangladesh, had been brought because in a previous check it was found that he did not have the necessary documents justifying his stay in the country. After the incident, in the possession of the 45-year-old, two scissors and a cleaver were found and confiscated.
