Eleven arrests have been made by the police after the incredible incident in Katerini, where a group of self-proclaimed “Guardians of the Constitution” kidnapped the principal of Aigini High School and handcuffed him because he applied the precautionary measures for the pandemic at school.
The accused are in the Katerini Police Department until a case file is formed and they are taken to the prosecutor. The school principal is also at the Police Department, testifying about the unthinkable incident.
“These people came, these weird guys and outside the school they hit the Principal, handcuffed him and kidnapped him. “They put him in their car and took him to the police station as a criminal,” a school teacher complains to SKAI.
According to teachers, the school has been targeted for a month by the group of deniers, a relevant complaint has been made but the police did not care.
“They have come again, they have bothered us and other times there has been a complaint but the authorities are not doing anything. I mean the police authorities. “They are doing nothing and what should we do?” He said.
A few days ago, the same group threatened to order the school and online invited parents to a gathering outside the building.
High school students also report a climate of terrorism by the “Guardians”.
“We have ended up locking the doors and entrances at every break,” two students said, “we are like a prison,” while another student said they were asking the principal to hand over the school keys and work with their own teachers.
The mayor of Kolindros, Anastasios Manolas, when he visited the high school principal at the health center, saw bruises on his hands from the handcuffs.
The unthinkable incident was condemned by the Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, saying that the police will not allow such provocative and unacceptable behaviors to be repeated.
