A 35-year-old man from Albania who was arrested yesterday in Tympaki as he had hidden 109.6 grams of cocaine on the trunk of an olive tree.
According to the Police, there was information about the action of the 35-year-old, who was allegedly hiding quantities of narcotics in a specific outdoor area in the area of the Municipality of Phaistos.
Yesterday morning, an operation was organized and the officers of the Phaistos Police Department searched the spot, where they found 107 grams of cocaine inside an olive tree trunk, inside a metal box. Searches were made at his home, but also at other places he used. A total of 109.6 grams of cocaine was found and seized.
The foreigner was arrested for possession and trafficking of narcotics, however, according to information, immediately after his arrest he managed to remove the handcuffs, which the police put on him again and now he is also accused of attempting to escape.
The preliminary investigation is carried out by the Phaistos Police Department.
