Mr. Spyros Skoupas spoke on the show Weekend Parea on SKAI about the adventure of a very close friend who lost her life from the “treatment” of the Pseudo-doctor.
His girlfriend Maria, one of Dr. Kontos’ victims, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. They were looking for the best doctors. Her husband, in fact, suggested that she go to America, as he is Greek-American, but she did not want to.
They found a very good doctor and he had surgery and he would start the chemotherapy immediately. If she had followed this path now she would be alive, as her friend says.
“After the end of the surgery, the doctor called us to his office. We are ready for chemotherapy. We made an appointment and as soon as we got out of the hospital, Maria said ‘I do not do chemotherapy’. “She was afraid her hair would fall out,” said Mr. Skoupas.
He met the pseudo-doctor immediately after the hospital. She had gone with a friend to the church of Agios Fanourios in Glyfada and there they met. “He convinced her that he would do well without chemotherapy. With preparations, with herbs and in the end with hemp. “
Throughout the treatment, she blindly trusted the “doctor” and was adamant about going to another. Whatever her family told her, she did not listen.
Mr. Skoupas was the only one from Maria’s environment who knew Dr Kontos up close.
“He tells me to come and meet Kontos. Surgeon Oncologist from Switzerland. So he said. He cut her food. He ate only apples and herbs. “She took $ 30,000 from her husband and we do not know how much she has left yet.”
The impression left by the Pseudo-doctor was not the best, as his practices surprised him.
“I was not convinced. I told her is it possible to be a doctor and bring the preparations to church? The priest who ransacked Kontos died of prostate cancer following his treatment. He died 3 months before Maria died. “
According to her boyfriend, Maria in her last days could not speak due to weakness, nor could she walk.
