In 1977, she was elected as the first Member of Parliament for the Dodecanese with the support of New Democracy.[4] Since then he has been elected continuously with the exception of the 1996 elections, when he failed to be elected. In 1977 and 1979 he was elected secretary of the parliament and in 1982 its dean. In the governments of Tzhannetakis[5] and Mitsotakis was deputy minister of finance and in the period 1990 – 1992 minister of commercial shipping.
