“I would like to pay 4 euros for the doner, please,” the protester shouted at the German chancellor
A video is making the rounds on social media showing German Chancellor Olaf Scholz confronting a dehydrated protester who is asking him to lower the prices of doner kebabs.
“I pay €8 ($7.9) for a doner!” the protester angrily shouted at Olaf Solz during his visit to the southern city of Munich at the weekend.
“Talk to (Vladimir) Putin, I would like to pay 4 euros for the doner, please,” the protester continued and asked the German Chancellor to speak to the Russian president to secure the gas supply.

The German chancellor smiled at the protester but made no comment. He then got into his car surrounded by several bodyguards.
Doner is a traditional Turkish meat dish, and is one of the most popular fast food dishes in Germany. However, due to the energy crisis, its price has increased, as is the case with other products in all EU countries.
