Beatriki Dougou, daughter of Thessaloniki coroner Samuel Dougou, stood out in the parade

“I feel proud of my country and glad to have represented my school” said the student and athlete among other things

The impressions were stolen by Beatrice – Calypso Dugu as her full name is, daughter of the Kenyan emeritus professor of Forensics and Toxicology at AUTH, Samuel Dugu.

Beatriki Dougou, in addition to her academic achievements, is also a track and field athlete in the Riga Association of Thessaloniki, recording excellent times from an early age in the 100 and 200 meters, as well as in the 100 meter hurdles, participating in Panhellenic and European championships.

“My dad is from Kenya and my mother from Thessaloniki. It was the first time I did a parade and it was an excellent experience with a very good organization,” she emphasized in her statements after the end of the student parade.

“I feel proud of my country and happy to represent my school” she added.

For his part, Beatriki’s father, the well-known medical examiner in Thessaloniki – and beyond, as he has handled highly acclaimed cases – told grtimes.gr:

“As parents of Beatrice, we feel great emotion. We did not come to Thessaloniki yesterday. We are now many years old. Therefore, today’s participation in the parade representing her school cannot but make us proud. We hope she remains who she is today and moves forward. We have no other requirements. We are by her side and we will always be by her side to repay the pride she gave us today and that she gives us both with her school and sports performances” he added.
