Kids’ Favorite: Yogurt Cake – Easy and Delicious!

This fluffy cake it is very easy and delicious. It is made with 1 yogurt pouch and you measure all the other ingredients in this pouch.

Materials

  • 1 cup of strained yogurt
  • 2 cups of yogurt sugar
  • 4 eggs zest of 1/2 lemon or orange
  • 250 gr. butter at room temperature + a little more for the form
  • 3½ scoops of yogurt all-purpose flour
  • 1 bag of baking powder
  • 2 tsp. sweet cocoa (optional)
  • 1 handful chopped walnuts (optional)

Procedure

  1. To make the yogurt cake, pour the yogurt into a bowl, so that we have a scoop handy and can measure with it.
  2. Put the butter and sugar in a bowl and beat them well with a mixer or hand whisk until fluffy.
  3. Add the yogurt and mix.
  4. Add the eggs one by one and mix well after each addition.
  5. Add the zest and then slowly pour in the flour along with the baking powder, while at the same time mixing with a silicone spatula, so that the flour is incorporated gradually.
  6. If we want to make a two-color cake, half white and half chocolate, pour half of the mixture into another bowl and mix it with the cocoa until it gets a deep chocolate color (you may need a little more cocoa).
  7. If desired, add the walnuts to the mixture and mix.
  8. Butter a cake mold with a hole and pour our mixture.
  9. If we made half and half, first put a little of the white, then a little of the chocolate and so on until they are finished.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 170-180°C for about 50 minutes and test with a knife. If it comes out dry, the cake is ready.
  11. Let the yogurt cake cool and unmold.
