Crete: 18-year-old dead from a traffic accident – The third in just 24 hours

On Friday evening, two machines collided head-on with each other in Perivolia of Chania

It is hard for the human mind to comprehend it, but as incredible as it sounds, this also happened on our island: In just 24 hours, three traffic accidents occurred in Crete.

According to information from cretapost, at approximately 11:00 on Friday evening, on October 28, two machines collided head-on with each other in Perivolia of Chania. The 18-year-old rider of one of the motorcycles died instantly and became the 47th victim of a traffic accident in Crete.

The driver of the other machine, only 22 years old, has multiple injuries all over his body from the head-on collision of the machines.

An ambulance crew rushed to the scene, but the 18-year-old had already breathed his last on the asphalt, while the 22-year-old was taken to the Chania Hospital with orthopedic injuries.

The Chania Traffic Police is investigating the exact causes of the new fatal traffic accident.

It is noted that the other two traffic accidents with a difference of only 24 hours occurred late in the evening of Thursday, October 27, when a 60-year-old woman lost her life on the Northern Highway of Crete, while the second occurred on the morning of Friday, October 28, when a 36-year-old researcher at the ITE he lost his life in Stavrakia.
