“EVA” bad weather: Call 112 in Attiki – “Avoid travel”

The residents of Attica received a 112 message a little while ago on the occasion of the outbreak of bad weather EVA.

As indicated in the notification, citizens are asked to limit their movements.

An extended meeting to take measures to deal with the upcoming bad weather was held today at the Citizen Protection Ministry, under the leadership of the Citizen Protection Minister, Takis Theodorikakos, and with the presence of the head of the Hellenic Police, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Koumas.

Mr. Theodorikakos asked the Police Authorities to be, from the next few hours, on full alert, in order to effectively support, with means and manpower, the planning of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection and to deal with any problems that may arise.

For this purpose, reinforced levels of the traffic police will monitor the national, urban and provincial road network, while the local Police departments of the Territory will be put on standby, being in constant communication with the Municipalities and Regional Authorities of the country.
