A 6-year-old girl – after feeling unwell – went with her guardians to the Soho Health Center.
The child underwent tests and the doctors decided that he should be transferred immediately to the General Hospital of Thessaloniki “Ippokrateio”, which he was in charge of.
According to information, the unfortunate child was taken to the emergency room of the hospital where during his examination he suffered a cardiac arrest.
Immediately doctors and nurses mobilized to bring him back to life, which was achieved.
The hospital staff began the process of intubating the child in the ICU, when he again suffered a second seizure. Despite the superhuman efforts of doctors and nurses, the little girl did not make it and passed away, leaving her family in grief.
The autopsy is expected to shed light on the exact cause of death of the 6-year-old.
