Health Minister Thanos Plevris said:
“Bodosakeio and Mamatsio are key pillars in the planning of the new health map. Both hospitals will be reinforced and will operate normally with all their departments. It is known that some are fully staffed, while others have shortages, which will be covered by the announcement of similar positions, such as pediatrics in Kozani. There is no question of removing a structure or structures, on the contrary, any that present problems will be strengthened. Both structures are necessary as they serve a sufficient number of population and the purpose is to serve the needs of the citizens.
The goal is to support both hospitals in terms of logistical infrastructure, having joined the Recovery Fund, while the infrastructure will be improved and expanded where necessary.”
