Generalized tax audit, account opening, card and stock audit – Targeting corporate accounts and accounts for 11 people – Among them father Antonios and elder

A prosecutor’s order for a generalized and in-depth audit of the finances of the Ark of the World was given to the Financial Police by the prosecutor Ioannis Sevi, who was charged with the case file for the structure’s finances by the head of the Athens First Instance Prosecutor’s Office, Antonis Eleftheriano.
According to the prosecutor’s order, the Financial Police will investigate everything related to the finances of Kivotos and eleven natural persons, including father Antonios and the elder.
The offenses investigated in the framework of the prosecutor’s order concern four felonies:
- Embezzlement
- Infidelity
- Tax evasion
- Money laundering
In particular, as stated in the prosecutor’s order, the Economic Police is instructed to:
- Tax audit of the structure’s finances for the last five years.
- Administrative control and notification of its outcome.
- Investigate whether any kind of grants or funding from state bodies or European funds have been given to the Ark.
- Opening of accounts for the last five years in corporate accounts of the Ark but also in the accounts of eleven natural persons which include father Antonios, the elder, their close relatives and members of the administration of the Ark.
When opening accounts for natural persons, cards, shares and any other financial product found in their possession are also included.
