Bars open up dancefloors, gain the feel of a club and attract those looking for a party in SP

by

In the spirit of the resumption of clubs, which have been authorized to operate at full capacity since October, bars in São Paulo have been betting on the repressed desire of people to go out and play on the dancefloor. Without giving up the cocktails served at tables and counters, the houses have open spaces so that dear customers can use up the energy accumulated over nearly 600 days without parties — at least legally.

Addresses that already existed in this scheme before the pandemic began, such as the classic Bar do Netão, the cool Caracol and the no-frills Daqui Dali, are now joining new locations. These are the cases of the Nu I Cru bar, which is located in a large open space in Casa das Caldeiras, and the Lote, which occupies a large area with a hamburger shop, shops and two stages for DJing and concerts.

What they all have in common is the possibility for the customer to enjoy both formats — listening to music and sipping drinks or dancing for hours on end while the quarantine plan still allows, as the course of the pandemic is uncertain with the arrival of the variant omicron.

It is worth remembering that, despite the release, the rules still include the maintenance of the use of masks while there is no consumption of food and beverages, even outdoors.

Below, see a list of ten places that unite the worlds of bars and clubs in São Paulo.

Amata

Netão’s Bar

The bar that made history on Rua Augusta in the early 2000s is still operating almost opposite the new Studio SP — and frequently hosts top DJs on the São Paulo night under the house’s colorful lights. Netão himself makes the drinks that water the dancefloor and can be consumed with a menu of hamburgers.

The little track with red light in Pinheiros, which worked for people sitting while the clubs had not yet been released in the city, now resumes with normal programming, with DJing and concerts from Tuesday to Sunday. Sound also escapes to the outside, occupied with tables at the entrance of the house and across the street.

I don’t believe it

This space opened its doors in November within the Casa das Caldeiras complex with tables distributed in an enclosed area and also in a large open-air space with a dance floor. This mix of store, bar, beauty coworking and food court opened last year brought a good broth and, in 2021, fills the house’s rink, commonly hosted by DJs at electronic parties in the city, such as Blum and Fluida.
