Tension broke out in Exarchia shortly before the end of the march for the anniversary of the assassination of Alexandros Grigoropoulos.
Initially, young people, separated from the march, set up barricades and set fire to bins in Akadimias and Benaki with the MAT responding with the use of chemicals and flash bangs. A manhunt followed in the narrow streets of Exarchia with the atmosphere suffocating from the tear gas.
In the area of Exarchia there are also two “Aiantes” of the police who put out fires and remove roadblocks.
Incidents also occurred around Omonia where young people set up barricades and burned garbage bins. The police officers used chemicals, while “Aiantas” of EL.AS also appeared.

At the same time, a “rain” of Molotov cocktails fell in Thessaloniki after the end of the march with the police also responding with tear gas.
