In critical situation the 16-year-old who was shot by a police officer during a chase, in the area of ​​Diavati, is still being treated in the ICU of the Hippocratic Hospital of Thessaloniki.
The young Roma was submitted in the previous 24 hours in forensic examination, following a prosecutor’s order in the context of the investigation carried out by the Department of Crimes against Life of the Thessaloniki Security.
According to the forensic findings, the 16-year-old has severe craniocerebral injuries, a consequence of the wound caused by the bullet he received from the service weapon of the accused police officer of the DI.AS group.
According to the same findings, only the portal of entry of the bullet was found, for which he underwent surgical removal and has been intubated in the ICU ever since.
Meanwhile, without tensions it flowed the night in Thessaloniki, where in the previous 24 hours there had been incidents by Roma groups protesting the serious injury of the 16-year-old victim.
Yesterday at 9 pm there was an attack on the Dendropotamos Police Station with limited throwing of molotov cocktails, but no damage or injuries were reported. At the sight of the police, the perpetrators fled.
