More than 70 tour operators expressed interest in the history, culture and gastronomy of Thessaloniki
Greece is located in top five countries in terms of incoming tourism from Poland, as reported by the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization on the occasion of its recent participation in the organization of the Greek – Polish Tourism and Gastronomy Workshop held in Warsaw, with the aim of promoting Thessaloniki as a tourist and gastronomic destination on the Polish market.
More than 70 tour operatorstravel agents, journalists and tourism experts from the Polish market were there while B2B meetings were held, in which interest was expressed in the history, culture, gastronomy of Thessaloniki, as well as in the activities developed in alternative tourism.
In her statements, the Deputy Regional Governor of the Metropolitan Unity of Thessaloniki and President of the Thessaloniki Tourism Organization, Voula Patoulidou, emphasized that Poland belongs to the countries with faster growing rates economic development of Europe. He announced, after all, that the meetings that took place in the context of the communication strategy for the promotion of Thessaloniki, are “the continuation” of targeted actions in the Polish tourist market.
