A Greek man, who operated the store as a temporary manager, was arrested for allowing the organization, with playing cards, of the game of chance “POKA” on a table specially shaped with felt

Seven Greek gambling law enforcement officers were arrested on Wednesday night in the area of ​​the Kilelere Municipality of Larissa, by police officers of the Larissa Security Directorate, while the owner of the wanted shop is also included in the case file.

In particular, in the context of targeted actions to combat the conduct of illegal games of chance, the police officers of the above-mentioned Service carried out a check on a health care store, owned by a Greek woman who is wanted, where a Greek man, who operated the store as a temporary manager, was arrested for allowing the organization, with playing cards, of the lucky game “POKA” on a table specially shaped with felt, in which he and the other arrested persons participated, with the collation of bets and the purpose of financial gain.

A total of the following were seized from the site:

-1- circular wooden table, covered with felt
-1- deck of cards,
-215- brands of various colors &
a casket containing the sum of -447- euros, -2- playing cards, -259- tokens of various colors and -5- dice.
In addition, the total sum of -655-euro was confiscated from the possession of the arrested persons.

Those arrested will be taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Larisa.
