A few hours before the long-awaited announcements for new measures in the holidays, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the President of the Panhellenic Medical Association and member of the scientific committee of the Ministry of Health, Athanasios Exadaktylos, objected to mandatory rapid test in vaccinated, typically saying “it is a great inconvenience”.
When asked if the Commission has made a relevant proposal to the Government, Mr. Exadaktylos answered that the Commission will meet at noon on Tuesday and therefore no suggestion has been made.
As the president of PIS told ANT1, the measure for a free self-test, registered, has been discussed, which will be done by the vaccinated for the entrance to restaurants and entertainment centers. However, no decisions have been made.
Objections to the mandatory rapid test for vaccinated people were expressed in the same show by o Professor of Pharmacology, Evangelos Manolopoulos, who stressed that a strong recommendation for a self test is enough in view of New Year’s Eve. We do not need, he said, to put the vaccinated in a rapid testing process.
