Regina Makedou alone could be a reference point for the way one manages or should manage one’s own life when faced with a serious health problem.
After a prolonged suffering for her, with the Kavala hospital practically becoming her second home, everything changed at the beginning of the summer after she had a transplant, as a compatible donor was found.
Regina, as she tells Stratis Limnios and GRTimes, feels grateful for the gift she received this year.
“It is for me the second chance of life, let the message be this, the need for us all to become bone marrow donors, we save human lives and if my own case touched many people I am even more happy because this is what I want to be the message for the new year”, says Regina Makedou.
