A circular issued by the Ministry of Education and Religion and sent to primary and secondary schools throughout country.
In accordance with the current Ministerial Decision, to which the circular refers, the Teachers’ Association, following a relevant announcement, decides to register but not count the absences in question, with the presentation by the students concerned of a recent certificate from a public or private nursing institution or a private doctor , certifying the type and duration of the illness.
The Ministry of Education and Religion, in response to the global flu outbreak, sent this year’s guidance to our schools on the basis of the Ministry of Health’s recommendation earlier than other years, including a wide period for not counting absences.
It is recommended to all members of the educational community to strictly observe hygiene measures, such as hand washing and staying at home in case of illness, to follow the instructions of experts and to trust vaccination, according to the case-by-case instructions.
