According to Petros Filippidis, what happened with the second complainant, for attempting to rape her, constituted consensual sexual relations, as there was “mutual flirting” between them. Referring to the third woman who reported him to the Court, Petros Filippidis said that after a business meeting they had offered to take her to her house in his car “He got in and we left.. He grabbed my leg and started stroking me.. You understand… It happened between us by our will.. In the plot outside my house I raped her? I wonder why they didn’t say I greeted my wife too. I am deeply hurt. I don’t even have anger. I don’t believe it either. I am in despair and despair..”.
At another point in his apology, the accused referred to the president of SEH Spyros Bibilas saying that “Mr. Bibilas knows that I am not a rapist and he comes out and says that “many people will be sad if Filippidis does not go to prison”. And he insists on saying that he is my friend. For all these people my life has become a leaf and a feather..”
Speaking about his other colleagues and the attitude they took, the accused said “What I haven’t been charged with yet is that I committed murder or attempted to kill a person. You sleep and you don’t know if you’ll wake up. Not because the prisoners will do anything to you. During the examination of the accused by the Chair after the conclusion of the apology, the president asked him to be more specific “Who has organized all this against you as you say? What was the motive of each complainant?”
