Today at noon, in the new Holy Church of Agios Andreas in Patras, the funeral of the journalist- General Media Director of the Parapolitic Group, will be held. Panagiotis Tzenou.

The burial will take place from the Kertez Cemetery in Kalavryton.

Panagiotis Zenos breathed his last while he was in Patras. He had a heart attackwhile he was with his wife in a hotel in the Upper Town.

EKAV was immediately notified, which arrived at the hotel and its specialized staff began the resuscitation procedures for over half an hour, while he was then transferred to the “Agios Andreas” Hospital, where the efforts of the doctors continued, to no avail.

The group of PARAPOLITICS issued a statement:

“It is with deep sadness and real pain that we announce the sudden death of the General Director of the “Parapolitical” Group, Panagiotis Tzenou, at the age of 47, from a stroke.

Panagiotis Tzenos was an unrelentingly combative journalist, who considered the news an end in itself. Although he studied law, from a very young age he was involved in the press, newspapers, radio stations and television.

His organizational skills, the respect of which he won, not unjustly, from his colleagues and the experiences he had acquired had elevated him from a young age to staff positions of high prestige and level.

For the “Parapolitical” Group, he was not only one of the protagonists, but also one of the founding executives. On a daily basis, day and night, with tireless spirit and conviction he fought for the strengthening, development and consolidation of the media, print and electronic, of the Group. Until the last day, he maintained his personal journalistic influence on the “Parapolitics” radio station, with his show rightfully having emerged, both in terms of prestige and in terms of journalistic revelations and commentary, among the dominant ones in the morning zone.

Also significant in recent years has been his contribution to the management of the press distribution agency “Argos”.

Panagiotis Tzenos, originally from Kalavryta, served the truth, principles and ethics with conviction and arrogance, based on values he had from his home, with faith in God and love for the Motherland. He was unyielding in the face of authority and always at the forefront of society’s demands.

His loss leaves a big and absolutely irreplaceable void in the “Parapolitical” family.

The publisher, executives and employees of the “Parapolitical” Group are by the side of his wife and our colleague, Andrianas Zarakelis, his only son, Giannis, and his entire family.

We offer our heartfelt condolences. His memory and militancy will guide us forever and into the future.”
