Dimitrakopoulos for a motion to acquit Filippidis for the rape: “The prosecutor acted on the lines of common sense”

The reasoning behind the prosecutor’s proposal to acquit Petros Filippidis due to doubts about the rape charges

The lawyer of the accused, Michalis Dimitrakopoulos, was mentioned in the prosecutor’s proposal for the acquittal of Petros Filippidis due to doubts about the accusations concerning the first complainant for rape.

“The prosecutor acted on the lines of common sense. As he said, a woman who has been raped cannot forget this experience and go to her rapist after a month and ask for cooperation. She cannot, after the second alleged rape, wait for him to finish rehearsals, instead of going to the police. That’s why the public prosecutor said Petros Filippidis is “innocent”, said the defense attorney.

For her part, advocate Kiki Pakirtzidou stated that there is satisfaction from the defense side for the acquittal motion, while for the motion of guilt in the charges of attempted rape of the other two complainants, “we will respond with our offers”.
