After appropriate use of evidence, the police officers managed in a short time to discover the identity of the woman, of foreign origin, while three more cases of attempts to deceive citizens with the same methodology by the members of the ring were identified.
All the police services throughout the territory were informed about the search for the foreigner, as a result of which she was arrested yesterday (22-01-2023) in the early hours of the morning at the Promahona Serres border checkpoint by policemen of the Sidirokastro Police Department, while trying to escape to Bulgaria.
An amount of 40 euros, 25 Bulgarian leva and two mobile phones were found in her possession and confiscated.
The arrested woman was brought to the Arta Security Department and then taken to the Arta Misdemeanor Prosecutor.
