The carcass of a shark that washed up a few hours ago on the beach of Cape Cod and was frozen due to the extremely low temperatures, was captured by the camera of Amie Medeiros with the frame soon becoming viral on Instagram.
The local photographer stumbled upon the carcass while taking a walk on the beach, aptly named the ice storage beach in Denis.
He took the photo of the shark lying on its side on the frozen sand and shared it on Instagram.
He said the frozen animal was “not what I expected to find on my frozen winter adventure,” in the comments.
The large fish, believed to be a shark, may have died from injury.
The photos of Mederio show that it has holes above its fins.
