The LIVEX (Live Exercise) multinational medium-scale air exercise named “SPEARS OF VICTORY 23” was completed, which was held in the wider area of ​​the King Abdulaziz Air Base in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, with the participation of airmen from the Arab country, Greece , UK, USA, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain and Pakistan.

In particular, Greece participated with 4 F-16 fighter jets and a support echelon (in 2022 it participated with 2 officers as observers).

During the exercise – which was planned and coordinated by the AIR WAR CENTER of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) – complex operational scenarios were executed involving:

– Defensive and offensive air operations (Defensive – Offensive Counter Air),

– Air combat between different types of aircraft (Dissimilar Air Combat Training – DACT),

– Dynamic targeting (Dynamic Targeting),

– Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR),

– Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV Support) systems support and

– Slow Mover Interset Aviation scenarios.

The Distinguished Visitors Day (DV Day) at the King Abdulaziz Air Base was attended by the Chief of the General Staff Vice Admiral Themistocles Bourolias.

The exercise was aimed at increasing the level of cooperation, understanding, interoperability and combat capability of the units of the participating countries, concludes the GEETHA announcement.
