According to her announcement Police Directorate of Magnesia “Morning hours today, in E.O. Volos-Farsalon, (a) ICHE, driven by a 60-year-old citizen and moving on the above provincial road, heading from Volos to Nea Aghialos, deviated from its course and collided with the opposite moving (b) ICHE, driven by a 42-year-old citizen and moving in the direction of Nea Aghialos to Volos, resulting in the slight injury of the passenger above (a) ICHE, 40 years old Imedapi, as well as the material damage to both vehicles. The above-mentioned injured woman was transported by Ambulance Station to the General Hospital of Volos where she is being treated.
Was held drunkenness control on both drivers using a special electronic device (breathalyzer) and the concentration of alcohol in the exhaled air of the driver (a) vehicle was found to be 1.16 mg/lt during the 1st measurement & 1.14 mg/lt during the 2nd measurement, while for driver (b) of a vehicle no concentration of alcohol was found in the exhaled air. Both vehicles involved were legal to operate, insure and drive. The above driver of vehicle (a) was arrested by police officers of the Volos Traffic Department and a preliminary investigation is underway.”
