A 31-year-old defendant, a citizen, was sentenced to pre-trial detention today – the second during the day – for the case of the 12-year-old in Kolonos, whom the little girl named in his last statement.

Earlier, another defendant – a 24-year-old foreign neighbor and family friend of the girl – was remanded in custody, with the agreement of the investigator and prosecutor.

One more defendant, a 40-year-old man, was given a deadline to plead guilty next Tuesday, while two more defendants will cross the threshold of the investigative office in the next twenty-four hours.

It is recalled that – among the six people identified by ELAS’ juvenile department – is a well-known former referee of the A’ national team who, according to information, will cross the threshold of the investigator on Friday in order to apologize.

At the same time, according to information, Ilias Michos, who has been in pretrial detention since last October, was summoned to make a supplementary statement.
