On Saturday morning, the police arrested a 15-year-old foreigner for the attack and stabbing of minors in the area of ​​Nea Ionia.

The 15 year old located in the New Philadelphia area and charged with attempted murder, aggravated robbery, criminal trespass and violation of weapons laws.

According to ELAS, on the afternoon of last Monday, February 20, a group of five people approached the 16-year-old who was with a 17-year-old friend in a threatening manner, in the area of ​​Patisia. They were initially attacked verbally, while the two minors tried to run away from the scene. The perpetrators, however, chased them and after a while they managed to immobilize the 16-year-old and one of them, the 15-year-old, stabbed him and wounded him in the ribs, back and right leg. Soon after, they stole his cell phone and fled.

It is noted that the 16-year-old is the son of the owner of the cafe in Nea Ionia, where a 39-year-old Albanian died, after being shot by a compatriot during an intense fight between members of two gangs, without having the slightest relationship with them and while sitting in a nearby spot.

Regarding the 15-year-old, according to ELAS, he refused to be fingerprinted, while after an investigation carried out at his home, the clothes he was wearing at the time of the attack were located and confiscated.

A 15-year-old foreigner was arrested in the early hours of today (2/25/2023) in New Philadelphia, by police officers of the Athens Security Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate, for attempted murder, robbery with accomplice, violation of weapons legislation and insubordination.

In particular, in the afternoon hours of 20-2-2023, a group of 5 unknown persons approached two minors, 16 and 17 years old, in the area of ​​Patisia threateningly and attacked them verbally, with the minors trying to run away from the scene.

After the perpetrators chased them, after a while, they immobilized the 16-year-old citizen and using a sharp object, one of the perpetrators wounded him in the ribs, back, right lower limb and took away his mobile phone.

In the context of the investigation of the case by police officers of the above service and after a combined use of information and evidence, the above police officers identified the 15-year-old foreigner as the perpetrator of the attack with the sharp object.

The accused was located at N. Philadelphia and was taken to the aforementioned service, where he refused to be fingerprinted.

After a search of the defendant’s home, the clothing he was wearing at the time of the attack was found and confiscated.

The arrested person was taken to the Athens Prosecutor’s Office, while the investigation into the identification of the other perpetrators continues.
