The AUTH student who was riding in the fourth car describes the dramatic moments he experienced when the trains collided in Tempe
THE Angelos FanourakisThe passenger of the fatal train, who was going to Thessaloniki and at the time of the collision was sitting in seats with two other girls in the fourth carriage, spoke on the show “Simera” on SKAI describing the dramatic moments that followed.
“We were hitting left-right on the wagon which overturned. Suddenly everything went dark. The girls had cell phones, we turned on flashlights and looked for an escape route. We got out of a broken window one at a time,” he clearly mentioned to state of shock the young student who, while trying to get out, was wounded in the waist.
Terrifying moments followed and he was taken to the hospital and fortunately with minor injuries. “I feel grateful to be alive. May such an accident never happen anywhere in the world,” he noted.
Asked to comment on the dialogues of the station master and his colleagues, the student said that it was at least “funny” while characteristic of the whole situation that prevailed he mentioned that the “guardian” who has been placed on his body for the lower back injury told him that paid at his own expense as the hospital did not have him.
