Protest for the deadly tragedy in Tempi, students are currently holding a demonstration in the center of Thessaloniki.

Holding banners and shouting slogans against the government, they demand that those responsible for the “crime in Tempe” be held accountable and punished.

“This crime will not be forgotten”, “our lives count, down with the government of murderers” read the student banners.

“We are here today one day after the great mobilizations throughout Greece and in Thessaloniki. Here in our city, thousands of youth and students demonstrated and they thundered that this crime will not be forgotten. We will be the voice of all the dead. As students from the first moment we will not allow any cover up. All governments are shedding crocodile tears while they knew that workers said that an accident was imminent”, said Christina Stamoulis, president of the Chemical Student Association of AUTH and member of the MAS executive committee, in her statements in the context of the mobilization.

The march has begun from Kamaras Square, where earlier the students held a protest rally.

It will move through the streets of the city center and end up at YMATH.
