The suit was filed for what was filed in the civil courts.
A new lawsuit against the doctor who is accused of the death of the 14-year-old girl, after the placement of a gastric ring, was filed by the minor’s father, Father Vissarion. It states that the doctor falsely testified that he had the 14-year-old’s consent for the operation.
After the new lawsuit he filed against the doctor, who is already accused of the death of his 14-year-old daughter, Vissarion’s father said to ERT3: “The accused by us doctor also led other people in criminal acts for defrauding the Court, we have filed suit both against him and the witnesses he has called to defend him».
The surgeon reportedly testified that he had the minor’s consent for the gastric bypass surgery that led to her death
Mrs. Kiki Pakirtzidou, advocate of the family, stated among other things: “There is graphology that says the minor’s signature is forged. He went so far as to say that on the last day when the minor was admitted to the private clinic in a near-death condition, they talked together, something that has not happenedeh”.
The suit was filed for what was filed in the civil courts.
The surgeon who is being prosecuted for a felony in the death of the 14-year-old girl was scheduled to stand trial today (9/03) in the second degree for the death of a 24-year-old man in 2017, again after gastric bypass surgery.
The trial was adjourned.
For this case, the doctor was sentenced at first instance to 4 years in prison, while he is charged with another conviction.
