Volkswagen presents a new SUV coupé, with elegant design, style and personalization elements, in a very popular category. The brand new Taigo, based on the modular transverse platform (MQB), is the brand’s first SUV coupé in compact SUVs. Its crossover body, the elevated driving position, the daily usability in the modern lifestyle and the high level equipment features impress. Equipped as standard with full LED headlights, digital Cockpit and state-of-the-art Infotainment systems (MIB3), the 4.26-meter SUV coupé sets a new technological benchmark in its class.

The Taigo coupe silhouette stands out at first glance, with the strongly inclined forward C-pillar. The side is characterized by precise, well-designed lines, while the accentuated wheel arches confirm the crossover character of the model. The compact dimensions (length 4,266 m, height 1,518 m, width 1,757 m) diligently hide a generous wheelbase (2,554 m), which provides ample space for five passengers and the available luggage volume is impressive, at 440 liters .

All exterior lighting elements are standard LED technology, ensuring a particularly charismatic light signature during the day and night. The new IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights are also available, which in fact belong to the basic equipment in the Style version. They are combined with two illuminated horizontal strips, one front and one rear, which connect the luminaires to each other creating a visual connection with the IDs. models.
Inside, many pieces of equipment come from larger models, thus emphasizing the high quality of the Taigo’s interior. Among them are the multifunction steering wheel with modern controls, in the basic equipment, the latest generation Infotainment systems (MIB3) and the App-Connect Wireless (depending on the equipment specifications), which offer top connectivity. The center console has touch-sensitive controls and controls. The optional Climatronic touch control integrates seamlessly into the modern look of the large central display.

At the powertrain level, the Taigo is available with a choice of two three-cylinder and four-cylinder engines, with 95 PS (70 kW), 110 PS (81 kW) and 150 PS (110 kW), with a top speed of 183 km / h. hour, 191 km / h and 212 km / h respectively. The engines are mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DSG, 110 hp).

In terms of driver assistance systems, the Taigo, featuring state-of-the-art assistance and safety systems, offers semi-autonomous driving, up to 210 km / h, thanks to IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist. With the latter, the standard multifunction steering wheel is touch sensitive, confirming at all times that the driver is actively present during the operation of the system – as defined for Level 2 of semi-autonomous driving in the EU. Among its standard assist systems Taigo owns the Front Assist environment monitoring system, including City Emergency Braking and Lane Assist. Few models in this class offer such a high level of driver assistance systems, comfort and safety.

In the Greek market, the new Taigo will be available in two richly equipped versions, Life and Style. Popular equipment items such as LED headlights and the Digital Cockpit are standard. Optionally, the new Taigo stands out with its impressive two-tone black roof, large panoramic sliding / tilting sunroof, 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro, 300 Watt beats and 6 speakers and much more. , which offer unlimited personalization possibilities.

The new Volkswagen Taigo immediately starts its commercial career in Greece, with the suggested retail prices starting from € 21,100 for the Taigo 1.0 TSI 95PS Life with manual transmission.
