The workers have announced a strike in metro, electric and tram on Tuesday, March 28.
The workers’ union (SELMA) reports that this is a warning strike and they are again raising safety issues in Metro, Electric and Tram.

“A 24-hour warning strike by the workers for problems that make it difficult to carry out the transport project of Fixed Transport (STA.SY) and to serve the 1.5 million passengers every day.

Subjects:

1) Lack of 847 Employees: Drivers, Technicians, Station Masters and specialized Railway Staff.

2) Lack of new trains and spare parts of the trains and materials of the railway infrastructure of the network.

3) Non-observance of the agreed.

4) Registration and state recognition of railway professions and specialties for all personnel dealing with the railway.

5) Update and revision of procedures, for works on wires and for works on the network of all lines of STA.SY.

For all of the above, we announce a 24-hour warning strike for Tuesday 3/28/22.

PS1: WE PUT THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES IN FRONT OF THEM and it would be of particular interest for the GOVERNMENT officials to answer us if the workers’ requests are completely legal and fair or if they will once again take the pity on themselves and consider us unfair and illegals who claim to secure the passenger public through our strike.

In the gloomy environment of the international banking collapse and the war in the heart of Europe, the flames of the French revolt spread like lightning the elevation of the workers to the height of the tasks assigned to them by history. For us railwaymen, it is the right moment, in accordance with the demands of the French workers and after the tragic accident in Tempe, to highlight the consequences of the policies of privatization, anti-labor laws on insurance, on labor contracts, on poverty and unemployment which now threatens the whole planet”.
