Within the next few hours, today or at the latest tomorrow, Pepi, the decision for the little white tiger will be announced, as Nemesis – Panhellenic Federation for the Environment, Animals, Hunting announced in a post on Facebook. The white tabby was found paralyzed and half-dead on Holy Monday in a bin outside Attica Park

The cycle of tests for the white tabby closed with the last biopsy, the result of which is out.

“The 12-member scientific committee has already sent its conclusion to the Ministry of the Interior with a unanimous opinion on what should be done based on the scientific findings and the welfare of the animal,” it is noted.

The organization makes it clear that “animal-loving citizens should always act in the best interest of an animal, taking into account science and not their own feeling”.

“This tragic story should not remain only in the feelings of soul pain and sadness but should lead the State and the Authorities to crack down on the illegal trade in wild and tame life that has been going on in our country for years, under the noses of the indifferent auditing authorities” is emphasized.

It is noted that the abandoned white tabby has undergone diagnostic tests.

The people of the Park treated him and the tiger yesterday underwent extensive diagnostic tests – magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography, in a specialized center – which confirmed the criticality of his health condition.

In a statement issued by the Attica Zoological Park, through a post on Facebook, it points out that the health condition of the little tiger remains serious, she is in pain and cannot feed herself.

“The test results confirmed the initial assessments of the seriousness of his health condition, as both genetic malformations and those acquired from the wrong way of managing him were found.

The young animal faces significant problems in the spine, pelvis, ribs, as well as in many bones that greatly limit and make its mobility painful.

At the same time, due to the deformed skeleton, some organs are compressed, thus making it difficult even to take food or breathe.

The young animal, as it cannot feed itself, is fed with the help of our caretakers and has gained (just) 1 kg”.

The beautiful tiger unfortunately does not have much hope to live, as the director of the park, Jean-Jacques Le Sueur, had stated before the exams.
