Reply to his article Politico which speaks of a parallel investigation “running” by the European Parliament regarding Eva Kailiher lawyer gives, Michalis Dimitrakopoulos.

In the press release he issued, he states that “constitute slander” what is published about receiving a “kickback” from Eva Kaili from the compensation of her partners.

Specifically, the Press Release states:

“As part of the administrative procedure, provided by the regulatory framework of the European Parliament, frequent audits take place which, among other things, concern overtime paid to assistants, compensation for business trips, funds pre-approved by each MEP. In order to restore the truth, it must be pointed out that, contrary to what is inaccurately published about Eva Kaili, the thorough investigations by the competent institutions never revealed the receipt of a “kickback” from compensations to her associates. The above constitutes defamation. It is common practice in the European Parliament, after the completion of the controls, that any established formal differences with the pre-approvals are settled with the competent services. It is obvious that some forces with ulterior political motives, seeing that the charges against me in the well-known case are collapsing, are attempting to criminalize administrative standing procedures of the European Parliament”.
