A fan entered the field and punched the assistant coach of the home team
Ermis made a complete turnaround in the 3rd, episodic and last final of the play-offs of the 2nd National Men’s Volleyball of ESPEP. He prevailed 3-2 sets, although he found himself behind 2-0 and celebrated winning the championship.
This is how he gained the right to participate in the play-offs for promotion to A2 National.
But the game was marred by the shameful things that happened at 23-20 in favor of Ermis in the 4th set.
Then after a long point, a Mercury player approached the stand and celebrated wildly. There were “fans” of the Patra Volleyball team and there was a lot of tension and a “fan” entered the field and punched the assistant coach of Ermis, Nikos Kordos, and almost hit Giorgos Christopoulos with his fist!
The game was stopped for almost 20 minutes, 15 according to what was reported in the Match Sheet and the Police were called to the National indoor gym “K. Petropoulos”, where the game was hosted.
Afterwards, Nikos Kordos was taken to the hospital in a police car in order to undergo tests, since he was on the playing field when he received the punch. In fact, as was said, he was going to file a lawsuit with the prospect of the continuation being given to the courtrooms.
