On the occasion of the occupation, the Board of Directors of the Club points out in a statement that its operation and the possibility of feeding the students have been completely stopped. At the same time, in response to inaccurate statements and to restore the truth, he states, among other things, that he exhausted all possibilities to the contracting company for the recruitment of all contract employees, issuance and verification of ration card is a requirement of the law and not the management’s choice, and although with the existing contract the Club has the ability to feed 7,250 people in Thessaloniki every day, the applications for issuing a feeding card amount to 4,200. In addition, he informs that an extension has been given for the issuance of ration cards, there has been no reduction in food portions, as rumored, but a decrease in student interest in issuing ration cards while the process of issuing cards has been simplified. Finally, he notes that in the previous days vandalism and destruction of the Club’s equipment took place and the safety of the persons attending the occupied Club facilities is at stake.
