The 65-year-old doctor is accused of serial rape, abuse in a sexual act of a person incapable of continuous resistance and sexual indignity.

The restrictive conditions of the ban on leaving the country, the payment of a guarantee of 10,000 euros and the ban on practicing the profession of gynecologist have been imposed on him.

Yesterday, the defendant presented to the court through his lawyers a medical certificate from which he was admitted to a clinic due to a health problem he is facing.

They were called to testify at the trial 42 witnesses and the advocates supporting the prosecution have stressed that it is unfeasible to conduct it in Kos due to the time required for its completion and also the costs of the witnesses.

The doctor was specifically brought to trial as guilty of attempting sexual acts against 9 women, without their consent.

In addition, he is accused of having performed sexual acts against several persons within the Gynecology-Obstetrics Clinic, with abuse to the detriment of 12 women in particular, but also for insulting the sexual dignity of another woman with sexual acts and suggestions.
