The developments in the case of Marios Papageorgiou are fast-paced, as 11 years after the abduction and murder of the 26-year-old, the security police hope to solve the tangle of the case and finally give answers to his mother who has been searching for her child all these years.

The two arrests of a 53-year-old and a 54-year-old following warrants issued by the 2nd regular investigator, seem to be just the beginning and that others will soon follow.

According to police sources, at least 4 people have been targeted by the judicial authorities and arrest warrants will soon be issued for them as well.

The two arrested, who are accused of manslaughter in a calm state of mind and abduction with complicity, appear to be regional officers of the organization that kidnapped the 26-year-old in August 2012, while the homicide of the security reached their tracks after analyzing their phones calls as it emerged that they had open communication with the leader – mastermind of the organization.

In fact, the 54-year-old, who is considered tougher than the 53-year-old and was arrested in Kallithea, is said to be the man who burned the car in which they transported Mario, so as not to leave any traces.

However, both of them, according to the evidence in the hands of the investigator handling the case, had staged a trip to sell coal while in reality they transported and eventually disappeared the body of the unjust Mario.

The lawyer of Mario’s mother, Nikos Roussopoulos, spoke about the rapid developments in the case, who, speaking to skai.gr, argued that the two arrested “actively participated in the abduction and murder of Marios, at the appointment made in Nea Peramos, in August 2012».
