The ultimate driving experience on an unforgettable journey. The Porsche Classic Road Tour, which took place on May 6 and 7, as part of the celebrations for 75 years of Porsche sports cars (1948 – 2023), provided rich emotions and exciting emotions.
The company that changed the course of the automotive industry celebrates, remembers its heritage and reinvents itself, through a series of special actions and events in the world and in Greece. In this case, the Classic Road Tour is perfectly in line with the fact that the natural environment of every Porsche car is the road, highlighting routes of authentic beauty that drivers enjoy every kilometer on the tarmac.
More specifically, it was 2 days full of intense emotions, which can only be born at the wheel of a Porsche. With the historic Olympic stadium as its starting point, the colorful convoy started on Saturday, May 6, heading for Itea. Arvanitsa, almost at the top of Mount Elikonas, was the first stop for coffee and local pies, in a beautiful alpine landscape. Then, after a 95-kilometer course with an incredible view of the Corinthian Gulf, the dozens of participants arrived in Amfissa to enjoy their lunch in one of the country’s oldest cafes.
The tour continued through the villages of Ag. Efthymia, Pendeoria, Vounihora and Malandrino, Sykia, Stromi and Kaloskopi, up to the coastal Itea where the mission ended, at the Nafsika Palace hotel. It was a short drive to the beautiful Galaxidi for dinner at the famous restaurant of Maritsa, with the classic Porsche cars catching all the eyes.
The second day included a march through Bralos and Damastas, with the reference point being the village of Iraklia, from where the famous special route of Bralos starts. After 20 kilometers, arrival at the shelter of Oita and a little later at the picturesque village of Athanassios Diakos, where the participants enjoyed traditional dishes with the excellent meats of the Ravanis family.
The Porsche Classic Road Tour ended on the evening of Sunday 6 May with the return road to Athens, which included 55 delightful kilometers in the green nature and the remaining 190 on the National Road.
It was an unforgettable experience for those involved, proving that since 1948 when Porsche No. 1 Roadster to this day, the thrill, the adrenaline, the pioneering and the style of Porsche remain unchanged.
