It was investigated by the Security Sub-Directorate of Southeastern Attica robbery that was committed with particular cruelty against an elderly woman, on April 13 in the area of ​​Glyfada.

In the context of the preliminary investigation, a 49-year-old woman was identified as the perpetrator and a 48-year-old man as an accomplice, against whom a case file was filed for robbery resulting in serious bodily harm, pursuant to which arrest warrants were issued.

The defendants with their car, in broad daylight, approached the 85-year-old woman who was walking and attacked her, with the aim of to grab the chain she was wearing around her neck.

The 48-year-old immobilized the victim, and the 49-year-old violently pulled the chain, putting pressure on her neck in order to break her resistance.

The 49-year-old he did not hesitate to drag the old woman to the groundinjuring her, until he manages to pry her chain off.

It is noted that the defendants have engaged the authorities in the past for similar crimes. The arrested were taken to the competent Prosecutor.

OPKE police officers found the defendants on Monday at noon in the area of ​​Acharna and took them to the headquarters of the Security Sub-Directorate of Southeastern Attica, where they were arrested based on the relevant warrants pending against them.

Additionally, the vehicle used during the robbery was found and confiscated.
